Basic tools and supplies
Tools and supplies required
- Screwdriver
- Key hole or reciprocating saw
- Lumber
- High quality caulk
- 3-wire cable and wall switch mounting box

Cut out and frame the rough opening
Framing
- Frame a 14.5 by 22.5 box using existing attic joists
- Cut out the drywall
- Attach provided foam gasket

Secure the unit
Install the unit
- Position the unit over the framed opening
- Make sure the junction box is easily accessible
- Secure the unit to the framing with provided screws

Wire the wall switch
Wall switch wiring
- Run 3-wire cable from the control board to the wall switch location
- Attach wires to control board screw terminals
- Attach wires to wall switch wire leads
- Secure the face plate

Grille installation
Install the grille
- Caulk all framing joints
- Caulk the seam between the framing and the unit
- Secure the grille with the provided screws

Plug it in / Turn it on
Final steps
- Confirm all wiring connections
- Remove any tools or debris from the work area
- Verify that the wall switch is in the off position
- Plug the power cord into a 120-volt outlet
Unit operation
- Turn the unit on
- Damper doors open and then fans turn on
- Verify low and high speed operation
- Turn the unit off
- Fans turn off and damper doors close
