Our Environmental Commitment

Here at AirScape our environmental initiatives are taking root at all levels — from simple efforts to reduce energy use on a daily basis to aggressively seeking ways to minimize packaging for shipping. We’re also committed to finding ways to build our products with sustainable manufacturing and business practices. We’re proud of what we've achieved, but recognize that there’s much more to do. Each and every day as individuals and as a company — we make strides toward a more ecologically responsible future.

Here’s What We're Doing Now:

Products and our Home Base

All of our parts and components are ROHS compliant, lead-free and are manufactured using state of the art systems. Additionally, we use eco-friendly practices including low energy lighting systems, efficient HVAC equipment, plus strict re-cycling and sorting of all products throughout our entire organization.

Printing

Whether it is cardboard for our boxes or paper for information sheets and manuals, we choose Forestry Stewardship Council products. Under FSC certification, forests are certified against a set of strict environmental and social standards, and fibre from certified forests is tracked all the way to the consumer through the chain of custody certification system. The end result is products in the marketplace carrying the FSC 'check-tree' logo.

AirScape Energy Savings Clock

Thousands of customers across the United States and Canada have found that a Whole House Fan is the natural energy efficient cooling solution. Take a look at our Energy Savings Clock - where we track the combined savings and translate them into everyday terms. To date we have saved the equivalent of over 90,000,000 Small Car miles, check out the other green contributions.

Packaging

AirScape whole house fans help reduce the carbon footprint in homes across North America, and we are committed to reducing our own environmental impact as well. We have integrated a re-use program into our shipping method. Three of our most popular units now ship with a pre-paid return box, in which we collect the high-density memory foam that protects each unit in transit. We’ve invested a lot in our packaging strategy, but it bothered us that the custom fabricated polyethylene was getting trashed when it could be re-used, so we think absorbing the additional shipping costs are well worth it.
