This product has transformed our upstairs during the summer into a finally livable space. We only used our AC for two weeks the entire year! If anyone has trouble with cooling the upper levels of their home and the outdoor temperature is cool at night, this product will do the trick and pay for itself quite quickly. Thanks for a great product.
Jason Y., Colorado

_Our electric rates went up 37% June 1st (a 15% summer surcharge, combined with a 22% rate increase). The [AirScape] whole house fan (compared to central air) is reducing my electric bills 35%+. I especially enjoy the automatic insulated ‘bombay’ louvers, once installed I do not have to go into the attic to insulate this fan for the winter, or to uncover it for the summer. It moves a lot of air, even on low speed, and is quiet.
Jeffrey S., New Jersey

I am completely thrilled with the AirScape 1.7 whole house fan. AirScape has packed an incredible amount of power in a small and quiet unit. If we were ever to move, the first thing I would install in our new house is another AirScape unit.
Todd K., California

Airscape is the perfect way to reduce A/C costs…Quiet and unobtrusive, the breeze through the bedroom is noticeable and refreshing.
Jeff Z., Michigan

Thanks for a fine product which I would recommend to anyone, especially here in the central valley of California.
Nancy A., Central Valley, CA

I enjoy my AirScape whole house fan tremendously. I have had the unit installed for 1 year now. Your AirScape whole house fan has made a great improvement in the air quality and comfort in my home. It has met all of my expectations with it’s effectiveness, ease of use, and overall quiet operation. I am absolutely thrilled with your product.
Don D., Gahanna, Ohio

I would highly recommend the Airscape to anyone living in an area that has dry air and cool evenings. I live in Northern Colorado in a 3 story house. In the summer the heat really builds up on the top floor and no matter how hard we tried my huge air conditioner could never keep up. We tried ceiling fans but they never quite got it cool enough and they dried us out, we woke up badly dehydrated every morning. The first night after installing the Airscape my wife was very skeptical, she knew it was going to be loud (think swamp cooler!) and not powerful enough to get the heat out. The smile on her face was huge when we fired it up and could feel a noticeable change in minutes. We can’t imagine living without it now, we absolutely love it.
Rob L., Colorado

It took a little bit getting used to compared to using a large quick cooling house fan. Once I learned that it was for long term use throughout the evening the next day in the house was very pleasant. I did not have to use the air conditioner until very late in the afternoon which saved me about 100 dollars a month. I believe the Airscape paid for itself within the first year of use. If you are looking for a very fast cool down do not rely solely on this fan. It is meant exactly how it is written in it’s literature, for overnight cooling which keeps the house cool the next day.
Eric B., California

This is one of the very best improvements that I have made to my house since purchasing it 4 years ago. It has greatly lowered my electric bill during the summer months and created a fresher environment in the house. The unit is efficient, very quiet, and I even got a nice energy rebate from my electric company. I very seldom need to use my air conditioning unit during the summer anymore. I have had no problems whatsoever with this unit since installing it and it has worked flawlessly. I strongly endorse this product and am most happy with it.
Don W., California

What a great product! I own the Airscape 1.7 and the unit does everything it is advertised to do. My wife hated cooking bacon in the house because the smell would linger for hours. Now she turns on the fan for 5 minutes and viola, no more smell. Very impressive unit! The Airscape product is ten fold better than the Tamarack units (better construction, quieter, etc). The Tamarac fans look like plastic toys and sound like small airplanes. Also, Airscape’’s customer service is top notch! I recommend this unit to anybody. The $100 cash back energy saver refund was nice too!
John D., California

Great fan—quiet and efficient. My son purchased one also after seeing mine and is very happy with it also.
Joe L., New York

Very easy to install, requiring only a little handyman know-how. We got the smaller unit, but it gives more than enough air flow.
William S., Maryland

I have shown the 1.7 to many of my friends and let them know that the AC was only on in my house about 5 days last summer. They could not believe it and know I saved about $500 last summer. Fan nearly paid for itself after one full summer of use. I think two of my buddies are going to put the same fan in their two story homes as I did coming up this spring.
Thomas H., California

I do love being able to cool down a house quickly after being out of town, etc. with a whole house fan. It is better, in many ways, than trying to do it with air conditioning. It is much faster, cheaper & more environmentally responsible than air conditioning and often we do not need the A/C on after it cools off via the fan. Also, at night, having cool air flowing throughout the bedroom window is just right for sleeping.
Connie W., North Carolina

I live in Bakersfield CA where the high temps range from the 100’s in the summer to the 40’s in the winter…I can tell you that this fan made a huge difference in the spring and fall when the nights are cooler. We would just turn it on low at night and open the windows at the far end of the house and let the fan suck in all that nice cool air all night. In the morning we get up and turn the fan off, close the windows and the house would stay cool all day and the A/C would never even come on. I would and have recommended this fan to anyone who is looking to make an investment in saving energy and money. With this fan, the solar panels on my roof (4.9KW), and the solar attic exhaust fan, my electric bills average around $50 a month compare to last year when the summer bills were almost $400.
Michael K., California

This was a purchase for our new home and we just love it. We used it all during the fall and our electric bill was half of what is was in our former (1000 sq. ft) house. We have four levels and it does a remarkable job of equalizing the temperature on all levels. Our bedroom on the top floor is as cool and comfortable as the basement. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys having FRESH air and comfortable temperatures without having the air conditioner on all the time. This really is a GREAT product and nothing like the old GIANT ceiling fans I had growing up. It’s SO quiet you hardly know it’s running!
Karen I., Maryland

After talking to friends about their whole house fans (none Airscape) and reading reviews fan reviews on the web, I decided the Airscape was the best whole house fan. While no doubt it is more expensive than other fans it doesn’t sound like a helicopter when running and I didn’t need to worry about sealing the vent on cold days. As I was installing the fan myself, easy installation was very important to me and while I am capable of cutting roof joists and boxing in the area for a traditional larger fan it was something I preferred to avoid. I also found that in my newer house with vaulted ceilings and outside roof lines that did not follow inside ceilings it was very difficult to find a usable area to mount the whole house fan. Having the smaller foot print of the Airscape was a benefit for me…the ability to have the Airscape tap into an existing circuit in the attic that was powering ceiling lighting was a big plus. On some whole house fans you may need to pull a new circuit from the breaker box to the attic and this is a major headache on a finished house.
Ken H., Colorado

We live in San Diego and our 2nd floor gets very stuffy in the summer. It is so nice to turn on the AirScape and have it cool the house for sleeping. I like not having to turn on the A/C and getting the fresh air in the house. I also love the “white noise” for sleeping. The house gets almost too cold by morning, that’s how good it works.
Tricia B., California

I researched about every whole house fan that’s made, and selected AirScape. Delivery was prompt. It was easy to install, good instructions were provided, and the quality of the product is superb. It’s in the ceiling hallway right outside our bedroom door, about 15’ from us, and we don’t even notice that it’s on. It is much quieter than I expected it to be, and absolutely no comparison to the noisy fan I replaced. I would recommend this product to anyone who is considering purchasing a whole house fan.
John L., Pennsylvania

Our Airscape unit has been a real benefit from the time it was installed. We were doing major renovations on an old house and the unit would clear impure air out in no time! Installation was easy, sound is quiet and we look forward to many years of added comfort!
Stephanie D., Illinois

We are thrilled to have the AirScape installed and working so well. For Arizona, this is a must for the cool nights and hot days.
Thayne H., Arizona

I grew up in Pittsburgh with an “old style” Sears ceiling fan. When I moved to Florida I got interested in saving electricity (and money!) by using A/C less. The AirScape has been great to us.
Daniel C., Florida

I have personally purchased and installed four whole-house fans (I won’t own a house without one) and this one is by far the quietest one I’ve ever had. On high, the air flow is good, though low is a bit weak, but then I like a breeze. My wife might rate it higher! It does a good job of air exchange, just takes a bit longer, so I have run it on high for a while, then dropped it to low to cut the noise. We generally have hot days and cool nights, so the unit all but replaces the air conditioner! I do like the shutter setup—especially in the winter! It really closes the gap, where the shutters on the other units I owned before would rattle and bang with the wind and drafts were standard, even when I went into the attic and wrapped the unit. Yours doesn’t need that, thank you!
Harry W., California

We are very happy (thrilled) with every aspect of our whole house fan! Thank you for such a wonderful product.
Manual S., California

My AirScape unit is [so] well engineered and constructed that I delayed covering the unit with the attractive grid. This is truly a remarkable product that has already saved me money over my old unit in terms of cost of operation and retaining my home’s cool air in the summer and warm air in the winter.
Anne B., Georgia

I am very satisfied with the decision to purchase and install the AirScape fan in my home. I truly believe that it has enhanced the value of our home and made the warm summer nights here in the desert much more bearable. Due to our low humidity, the AirScape allows us to avoid purchasing an A/C unit because the night air, in summer, is cool enough to sleep in comfort once the AirScape has removed the warm air in the house and in the attic.
Stephen M., Nevada

In combination with ceiling fans, it probably reduces the number of weeks I use my A/C by half. During those weeks, I much prefer to have fresh air instead of A/C. I bought my Airscape because I wanted the energy savings of a whole house fan and it had to be quiet. I didn’t worry about how long it would take to pay for itself—it was simply the right thing to do. But now, I would recommend it because I so enjoy keeping my windows open during more of the summer.
Jason D., Virginia

I live in an area that reaches triple digits in the summer so I turn the fan on in the early hours, which cools the home and keeps us from turning the A/C on well into the afternoon. Great product!
Salvador L., California

This unit is a revolution in house fans compared to the units from 20 years ago. Instead of a dull roar in the background, I can barely hear my AirScape. Installing this product dropped our home air temperature by 10 degrees on an 85 degree day, great product!
Dave F., Michigan

The AirScape is a simple and elegantly green alternative to air-conditioning. It’s quiet, effective, and uses only 10-15 kWh per month for low speed operation. All you have to do is open the windows in the evening, and close them in the morning to keep your house cool all day.
Jerry B., Oregon

We are the owners of an Ocean View Waterfront Vacation Home in Portsmouth, RI… Much of the day, open windows and doors with full screens provide a wonderful, cooling sea-breeze… Early mornings and early evenings, and at other times when the air is still, the Airscape 1.7 is the perfect solution. It is efficient, effective and quite, allowing one to easily hear the sound of the waves and the call of the birds in cool comfort… The Airscape 1.7 hits the “sweet spot” in cooling summer comfort for our home.
Wilder S., Rhode Island

Within minutes of installation, on a hot afternoon, we noticed a drop in the inside temperature that was so noticeable that I knew immediately I had made the right decision. Throughout 2007, we only turned on our A/C unit on 4 especially hot days when it didn’t really cool down outside until very late. Our electric bill, which we compared to the previous year, was down about 60%. There are few advertised products that can really live up to their claim. This particular product far exceeded my expectations. Just thinking of the money I could have saved, I wish I had done this sooner.
Steve S., California

I’ll never live in a home without one!
Mark B., Delaware

A great product for those with older 2 story single zone FAU units that can’t keep temperatures stable in hot or cold weather. Adding the [AirScape] allows us to actually sleep well during the summer without running the A/C all night, and still baking upstairs in the master bedroom suite. Plus, we know we’re helping the environment and reducing dependence on foreign oil. By installing the fan, I avoided a VERY expensive FAU replacement project. Thanks AirScape!
Michael W., California

I am not a fan of air conditioning as it presents an extremely inefficient and costly solution to cooling a living space. Costly not only in terms of my monthly electricity bill, but also costly to our planet. After considerable research of various Whole House Fans on the market, I chose the AirScape 1.7 and installed it last year. It provides more than enough airflow to remove the heat that has accumulated in my house during the day, yet does so at very low cost and minimal noise. AirScape technical support also guided me through the wiring of a simple timer switch which shuts the unit off during the middle of the night, keeping energy costs even lower.
Mark F., Minnesota

The bottom line for me is, I almost never had to use my air conditioner last summer. It will probably pay for itself in about three years.
Bill D., California

I’m very happy with the ease of installation and the flexibility of the unit. Having vaulted ceilings meant that I had to pay extra for normal house hold fan installation, some companies refused to bid on the home altogether. I installed the Airscape 1.7 fan in under two hours from start to finish. The remote control means I didn’t have to add any additional wiring to the home! I’m really impressed with the amount of air this little fan moves on its high setting as well as how quiet it is on low. I slept with the fan on in the summertime and it dropped the temperature well over twenty degrees at night. I purchased the unit last summer and I have not had to use the house air conditioning unit since! I’m a big “fan”!
Bill D., California

I was somewhat reluctant to purchase this fan over the internet without having a user list to call some existing users. I was finally given an installer name in CA and I called him. His discussion with me satisfied my potential misgivings. When I got he fan, I could tell immediately that the fan used high quality parts and the workmanship was excellent… I am very pleased and satisfied with my decision to get the fan. I really like the low noise level and the airflow.
Barry R., North Carolina

This is a quality product that works as well as the web site describes it. I recommend the AirScape for anyone considering a whole house fan. It takes longer than the old fashion units to cool down the house but it is much quieter and can be left on for days at a time depending on outside humidity and temperature.
John B., Kansas

If you want a really quiet fan with good, medium level of airflow, with a remote control, buy this one, by all means. I’ve used numerous whole house exhaust fans, and this one is the best, noise-wise. If you want to suck the air out of a mansion, and don’t care about noise, there are better choices, but if you live in a smaller house and the fan will be in the room with you, or just outside the room, noise really matters. I also like the computer grade quality of the fans, and the amazing design that contributes to the low noise, and seals out cold and heat from the attic when it’s not operating. Couldn’t be more pleased. Can’t imagine anyone being disappointed, unless, as I said, you’re looking for astronomical CFMs for a really large house. Then my advice would be to mount a fan on the wall in the attic, away from the ceiling vent, to reduce noise, the way old Southern homes used to configure their fans, back before air conditioning was invented.
Curt R., Maryland

I first bought a similar sized fan from Home Depot that claimed to be quiet. Sitting in the living room, it sounded like the vacuum cleaner was on right next to me. I returned it and bought the Airscape 1.7. I wasn’t sure how much to trust their claims about being quite—the acoustical specifications seem to be impossible to compare. But I have been happy with my AirScape—it is easy and comfortable to have conversations in the living room with the AirScape running just at the top of the adjacent stairs.
Ken G., Massachusetts

We only used our air conditioner 3 days this summer—we had a fantastic savings of electricity!
Peggy A., California

Whe live in Central California where the summer temps reach 100 degrees often. We used to have to run the air conditioner all night and day to maintain a comfortable level. Now, as soon as the outside temperature gets below 80 degrees (which is usually aroung 7 pm), we open windows and turn the Airscape fan on HI. When we go to bed we keep just the bathroom windows open and turn the unit to LO and when we wake in the morning the house is nice and cool, just a few degrees above the outside temperature. We really love our Airscape Fan!
Bryan H., California

I did a lot of research on a whole house fan and I kept coming back to the Airscape. I had a difficult time justifying the added premium of the Airscape but once I had it installed, I do not have any regrets. It works as advertised and it makes the summer nights in California much more enjoyable.
Cliff W., California

I would encourage anyone to buy one and enjoy the benefits tonight! It really is that simple!
John J., California

In a climate like Portland’s with cool summer nights, it’s a no-brainer to go with a whole house fan. I’ve tried the routine of sticking room fans near windows, but that really never exchanges enough air to make up for the noise and hassle. I particularly like the remote control feature of our whole house fan. If I happen to wake up in the middle of night and the house is cooled down, I can just tap the control at bedside and go back to sleep.
Doug H., Oregon

We live in inland Orange County, CA where summer day temps are often pushing 100 degrees. The evenings are always pleasant—around 70-75 after sunset. Our house is only 17 years old and is 2-stories. The lower living floor was easy to cool by opening doors, but the upper sleeping floor remained hot. So hot that we would have to run AC for most of the 3 summer months—before we installed the AirScape unit. I can honestly say that with the Airscape installed, we used our AC for a total of only 3-7 days. We dont even have to use AC during the day normally. We are more than thrilled with this product. So happy in fact that I have recommended it…to dozens of friends with the same situation!
Grant C., Oregon

Having done a complete remodel of a 1962 rambler style home, the whole house fan has probably had the biggest single impact on quality of life. Numerous reviews pointed me to the AirScape 1.7 fan, and while it was considerably more expensive than many of its competitors, it is well worth the price. The build quality is excellent, installation is extremely easy (everything is provided, including noise isolation strips), and the noise level is more than acceptable… The only caution that I have is to ensure that there is sufficient ventilation in the attic.
Mark S., Washington

A fan like this is a great thing to have even in the Midwest. It does get cool enough at night that you can run the fan at night, cool the house down and then get through the day without using the A/C. We can’t imaging our home without it!
George F., Illinois

It is the best whole house fan I have ever had. Don’t waste your money on the “big-box” stores’ cheaper whole house fans.
Michael M., Colorado

I did extensive research on all the whole house fans available and although there are many that are more powerful and move more air there was always a trade off. They used more power or installation was a nightmare. The AirScape product uses the latest technology, made significantly less noise and was extremely easy to install. I really could not find anything that could compare.
Paul E., California

Airscape makes a well designed and constructed whole house fan. The company’s personnel and ads are honest regarding what can be expected from their units. Their customer support system is excellent. The whole house fan offers a lot of comfort in the summertime without a lot of money… We are very happy with our Airscape Whole House Fan.
Bev W., Oregon

The AirScape whole house fan is an extremely compact and fairly quiet unit that moves enormous amounts of air through our home. In the summertime I had a major problem with very hot air rising and becoming trapped in the upstairs hallway. The AirScape evacuates that stale hot air in about 10 min. thus making the whole upstairs much more comfortable. The AirScape also significantly lowered our energy bills since we only had to use the air conditioner on extremely hot days.
Steve L., Deleware

Every time I hear a conversation about a whole house fan I insist on sharing my experience with the AirScape 1.7. I love telling people that the product looks good installed from the inside of the house (no ugly and large louvers), that the noise is incredibly low, little power consumption, and easy installation. I do warn them that they will pay $800 or so for this fan, compared to a $100-200 fan a home improvement store. Many people don’t seem to care about the price. This is more evident in San Diego, where I work, where many of the older homes do not have central air, and spending $800 is much better than spending several thousands of dollars. Thanks again for making such a wonderful product.
Briz G., California

We know we could have gone to Lowe’s or Home Depot and bought a much less expensive WHF, but when I read the reviews on the Air Scape 1.7, I knew it was the unit for us. Thanks for building such a fine product and delivering it in an extremely timely fashion. By the way, we definitely saw a drop in our power expenses and we got the bonus of comfort to boot.
Philip R., California

I am very happy with my new Airscape whole house fan, simple to install and so quiet you don’t even notice it is on. The installation instructions were easy to follow and available online to review before purchasing. I also love the remote switching option, [having] no wiring to pull is a huge benefit [when] installing in older construction.
John K., Washington

I researched whole house fans for several months before I made a purchase. AirScape fans were the only ones to combine the best features: easy installation, quality product, quiet operation, adequate cfm, and value.
Dave H., Illinois

This has to be the most sophisticated – yet basic whole house fan I’ve found. Every detail regarding fabrication, user interface, install directions and purchase were done right! We use this fan for whole house cooling (don’t care for AC) most days in the summer. I reviewed every detail of other offerings in the market and found a significant amount of hocus-pocus regarding their fan performance, noise levels and fitament – none of which came close the AirScape. I applaud your company for your straightforwardness and innovative design.
Randall W., Oregon

We love our Airscape. We live in Southern California and our house is 1600 sq ft. We were going to get the 1.0 model but decided to go with the 1.7. We are glad we did. At night in the summer we use it in low mode with a couple of windows open and in the morning the house is much cooler, not to mention the fresh air in the house in the morning. We use it in high mode if we really want to clear the heat out of the house if we have been gone for a while. We do have air conditioning but find that we don’t have to run it as much. It’s great having that gentle breeze blowing through the house. If you want a house wind tunnel, then go ahead and get one of the other systems on the market with higher CFM’s and higher power consumption but if you want a quality built, quiet, low power consumption whole house fan, then the AirScape is the one. Get the 1.7 model and be done with it.
Mark T., California

I have been sold on whole house fans for decades. This unit represents the next step in improving the performance of the fan. Instead of one monster fan that makes quite a racket with the consequent vibration, there are 4 smaller motors that have an overall greater airflow at a much reduced noise and vibration level. The damper system that closes up the system when out of use is a great energy (heat) saver during the winter. The unit fit perfectly between the joists in the attic. This is an improvement over the big monster fan. These features make it a breeze to install and to use.
Daniel W., Illinois

I am very satisfied with the Airscape. It’s not loud and doesn’t suck in a lot of dust from the outside to inside my home.
Carmen L., California

Before the AirScape (even after I added extra insulation) the upstairs was unbearable after a hot day. Even though it would cool off outside, the 2nd floor would stay hot even through the next morning. Now that we have the Airscape that problem is gone. [It’s a] well engineered product that I would highly recommend.
Ryan F., California

A must-have for warm areas such as Los Angeles. Creates an airflow that I like so much that I cannot remember how I slept at night in the summertime before.
Andrew P., California

On all but the worst days of summer, the air you need is outside—free for the taking. Consider the ambient air temperature each time you reach for the AC. You may be surprised how effective an intelligent scheme of whole house exhausting can be. Throw off the freon shackles of AC enslavement!
Brian B., Illinois

I love my Airscape. I have recommended it to many friends and will continue to. It drastically reduced my summer heading bill and also solved the problem of having static air in my home, especially at night. It is one of the best investments I have made in my home.
Don T., California

Love My AirScape! I installed a remote sensing thermometer in the roof to monitor the temperature during the day. Prior to installation roof temperatures registered as high as 120 degrees. Turn on the AirScape and the temperature seldom exceeds 85. Great quality and easy on the wallet to boot.
Jim C., California

Your fan cools the house quickly, quietly, and cheaply. It made last summer a pleasure.
Dave T., California

Your sales, customer service and tech people are very pleasant to deal with and spent at least 3 calls with me before I committed. Thank you for an excellent product!
Scott T., Pennsylvania

If I were a homebuilder I would install an AirScape as a standard feature of the HVAC system. I’m surprised the larger builders don’t offer the AirScape as, at least, and option in their new homes. Last year, in addition to installing the AirScape, I replaced many of incandescent bulbs with CFLs. As a direct result our budgeted electric bill went down even as our neighbors monthly electric budget bills went up. We are not only reducing our carbon footprint and saving money, our living environment is more comfortable.
Robert D., North Carolina

Excellent product. On high, noise is minimal…on low it is negligible. My wife has turned it off at night because she is cold—and this is a SoCal (valley) summer.
Greg N., California

We love the size and unobstructive look. The grill is also nice, and it’s very quiet. It’s amazing how it cools down the house quickly. And, we LOVE that it’s insulated and energy efficient—the main reason we got yours.
Sandi W., Missouri

Who knew that there was such a thing as ‘comfortable humidity’. I put this unit in for my mothers’ summer visit. Already having air conditioners going, those things did nothing against the oppressive heat coming down from the attic above, and thus conducting heat through the walls and then to the floor. To my gleeful astonishment, once the AirScape was installed, it made my girls happy within a few minutes.
Chris M., Massachusetts

This is a high quality unit from a high quality company. I am very happy with the whole house fan, AirScape, and the way it has made my home more liveable at a cheap price. Thanks.
Danny M., Ohio

During the spring, summer and fall our AirScape is on morning and night. It keeps the house cool and fresh. It’s easy to install and good for the pocketbook.
Travers S., California

At this time we have no A/C, and we live in the Sacramento Valley! The AirScape is quiet enough that we run it all night on low and in the morning, the house is as cool as outside.(The attic is also.) With this cool start in the morning, the house stays cool during the daytime until about mid-afternoon…much longer than if we were just running A/C all the time. The difference is incredible!
Diana, California

I am thrilled with the performance and ease of installation of this fan…we live in S Florida, and…I love the fresh sea air and hate to use A/C any more than necessary. I would say AirScape has been very candid and honest in their description of the product, and I am totally satisfied and will not be without one in all my future homes. The only improvement I would like to see would be to further reduce the Db (sound) levels. That said, however, it is not so loud that I would be without it, and some might find the gentle droning background sound helps mask ambient noises and aids in sleeping.
Ron H., Florida

One of my concerns was winter heat loss. I’ve check my unit for air leaks after several sub-zero nights. The unit’s insulated doors appear to be working as advertised. No signs of excessive air leaks or frost. After several months of ownership I am completely satisfied with my AirScape unit and have recommended [it] to a neighbor who also has purchased but not yet installed the unit.
Darrell., Delaware

We are amazed at how much air moves through our house with the unit on. You can see it by the amount that our curtains move in front of open windows. We actually use it to pull cooler air from our basement through the house. It is expensive when you first compare it to other units on the market but it is very quiet and well insulated.
David W., Illinois

My house had zero air flow for cool evening breezes. Since I have installed the Air Scape 1.7 my need for air conditioning dropped by 40%. The look of the unit is great and you can barely hear it, unlike other products available at home improvement stores. I live in Northern California where summer temperatures are routinely in the 90’s and above.
Gena S., California

We are a handyman/remodeling franchise located in suburban Chicago. Because we still have four seasons in our weather, we wanted to test a whole house product to recommend to our clients. As usual, we use my own home as a test facility. We were very pleased with the ease of installation, on line video was helpful, performance has been flawless thus far and we have recommeded and installed two more units to our clients. They are also pleased.
Mark N., Illinois

I think that owning an AirScape it the right thing to do for the environment. The health benefits from breathing fresh air are wonderful!
Meredith R., Oklahoma

AirScape saved my marriage! I needed a way to efficiently cool my home at night without using an AC (my wife hates AC). It was that or move! No number of open windows and exhaust/vent fans did the job. Even pre-cooling the room didn’t help with the heat build up in the attic. Installing two AirScape 1.7 for optimum ventilation (due to roof design) was easy and my wife and I now sleep in comfort, happily, together.
P.A., Colorado

My parents have an old version of the whole house fan. Large footprint and a loud motor but it works. This fan has a small footprint, with a white grate that blends in nicely with the ceiling. Most people that come over don’t even notice it, then when you turn it on for them they are amazed at how quiet it is. I have wanted something like this for a long time, our house just doesn’t have windows on the right side of the house to promote natural air flow. With the windows just cracked open a little bit and the fan on it’s amazing how much air is brought in from outside to cool the house. I have had this unit for a year now and would recommend it to my friends and family.
Ann S., Nebraska

Far superior than any fan I have experienced. Extremely quiet and powerful with a low profile. Installation was not a problem at all for a professional. I would definitely purchase another one.

We live close to the Pacific Ocean, so Air Conditioning is not a cost-effective solution as it isn’t hot enough on most occasions and always cools down rapidly in the evenings. Our problem was trapped heat inside [the house and] in the attic [at] night which open windows could not resolve alone. Our problem is now completely resolved and low cost, with the very rare occasion of a severe heat warning, then a pool is the only answer.
Brian P., California

Very easy to install, requiring only a little handyman know-how. We got the smaller unit, but it gives more than enough air flow.
William S., Maryland

Easy installation, excellent delivery and worked better than advertised. I have a 5 bedroom centerhall colonial house in New Jersey and am able to cool the whole house down in about 20 minutes. I also saved on runniing my central air by 50%. I also like the fact that I can bring in fresh air at night instead of recycled inside air.
Bruce K., New Jersey

Again, we absolutely love this unit! ...It’s made a major difference in our living quality.
Drew M., Michigan

I’ve highly recommended the AirScape to everyone I talk to, and have given many demonstrations. We live along the Front Range in Colorado and typically experience cool nights (50s) and hot days (90s); IMHO the perfect scenario for the AirScape. We’ve not turned on the AC since installing the 1.7 in a 2500 sq. ft. 2-story house during the peak of last summer. Running the AirScape on low all night yields a 1st floor temp in the low 60s each morning, with a late afternoon temp breaking 80 only a couple of times. Of course other WFHs might yield the same result, but the AirScape shines in 3 key areas. 1. The ceiling ventilation hole is very unobtrusive compared to every other WFH I researched. 2. The ball-bearing fans are very quiet. 3. The AirScape uses much less energy, and hence is easier on the our electric bill compared to AC…The Airscape, more expensive but having superior design to other WFHs on the market, is well worth the price.
Matthew G., Colorado

I installed a Whisper Air in my last home, but they do not sell the product any more, I assume because your product beat them hands down. It is more efficient and much quieter. To put it simply it’s just a better machine, you can tell by the quality of the way it is built.
Edward M., California

The Airscape 1.7 is the quietest whole house fan I have ever heard, and is able to be run all night long without disturbing my sleep. This is the only whole house fan I know of that can being running without disturbing anyone with the noise, I recommend the AirScape to anyone that wants to save energy, keep cool and help the environment. I’m not a greeny, just cheap!
Donald B., California

This is clearly a well made unit, compact and easy to install. The quietness of operation is impressive and it is much more efficient than AC. I am a remodeling contractor and I will be recommending this product to all of my clients who have house cooling needs.
Barney D., California

Performs exactly as expected and well-manufactured; a refreshing change!
Curt O., Ohio

…this is the single most valuable enhancement that I could have made to my home.
Paul H., California

I looked at various fans but went with this because of the door system, the ease of installation and the four fan vs single fan design. It is head and shoulders above anything else I looked at and well worth what I paid. Great product and an excellent company to deal with, and first rate customer service.
Peter S., Oregon

The overall experience has been wonderful. Cools my home with a click of a switch in 15 minutes. Having a two story home, this fan is a must. Thanks, AirScape!
Dino M., California

This is a high-quality product that, albeit somewhat more expensive, is way above competing types of equipment. In my local climate, where outdoor temperatures drop dramatically after sundown even during the hottest months, the unit cools down the entire house (two levels, ~2400 ft2 total) very nicely, and at virtually negligible energy costs. By the time I go to bed I am usually able to shut the unit down, or, at the very least, turn it to the low-speed setting. Overall, a great unit that I am pleased with and happy to brag about to others.
Frank F., Idaho

This is the best money I have ever spent on my house. Not only have my cooling bills fallen dramatically, but the house seems fresher and healthier. I wish I would have done this years ago.
Brian B., California

I would highly recommend the Airscape 1.7 to anyone. I live in Sothern California and was running my AC for the entire summer (3 months) before installing the AirScape Whole House Fan. After I installed the AirScape I only needed to run my AC for about 2 weeks. The AirScape was able to cool my house quickly once the sun went down and kept it cool for almost the entire day! Even when I needed to run my AC, I would still use my fan for one hour to cool the upper level and attic down. Colder air in the attic means colder air in the house.
I would not hesitate to recommend this product over all other whole house fans available. It is a well thought-out and excellent product. We are thrilled with our AirScape!
Betty R., California

I tell people about it every chance I get. As summer started to tapper off, when the evenings started to cool down, we started to use it first chance we got. Our electric bill went from $220 to $190 to $150 to $58. Living in East Texas, our temperatures tapper off slowly. So we would still have warm days, but cooler nights. We would turn on the fan when it would get 79 degrees or less and run it all night, then in the morning we would turn it off and close up the house and it would stay comfortable all day until it would start to cool again…I don’t know why more people don’t install them, especially home builders in new construction. I believe if more people knew about them, how efficient and quiet they are, you would have trouble keeping up with the demand. Thank you for making an excellent product. We also like the convenience of the remote control system. We found another good use for it, once in a while when cooking, things get a lttle smoky and it sets off the smoke detector, I’ll turn on the fan and within a minute or two it clears the air and the alarm stops.
Kathy F., Texas

This product is not only energy efficient it literally is wonderful to feel a lovely cool breeze throughout the house. I just wish I had known about AirScape years ago, not only to save on horrible electricity bills but also as a way to help the environment while staying comfortable too.
Evelyn, Oregon

It is great to have fresh air circulating through the house. The AirScape system is quiet and well constructed. You hardly notice it when it is operating.
Rajesh M., Texas

The AirScape is an excellent solution for our older less-than-energy-effecient home. It has dramatically reduced the need to run our air conditioner, which means we save money and benefit the environment at the same time.
Kati M., California

An excellent value: environmentally, financially and sensorially.
Paul M., California

I live in a house on a 50’ wide lot. Often even with the windows open on a windy day I had little air movement through my house. I had put in an AirScape the draws little current, is very quiet with four fans and has motorized insulated louvers. The change has been dramatic. I now can select from two fan speeds as well as open the windows in the rooms I select I want the fresh air. It has made an impact on my electric bill as well as my comfort level. It has been a great addition.
John M., Illinois

We replaced a much larger and noisier belt driven unit that did not seal well into the attic space. The AirScape is smaller, quieter, seals off the attic very well, and provides a level of insulation. I researched about every other available, alternative attic fan product and found none to compare to the AirScape 1.7 for residential applications and ease of installation.
Rick M., Texas

I am 100% satisfied…Our enegy use dropped dramatically after installation, the comfort level soared and by only needing a slight opening in the windows it was easy to adjust our security system to allow the fresh are in and still monitor for intrusion.
Mendell H., Washington

I tell all my friends and family about my whole house fan from AirScape. I tell them they can’t lose with it. It’s a great deal, saves on air conditioning costs, is easy to install and even the electric company provides a rebate. I think every house should come with an AirScape whole house fan.
Aleece N., California

I just wanted to let you know that we LOVE our Airscape 1.7 Whole House Fan! Living in the central valley of California we often found…our house would not cool off [at night] even though the outside temperature in the morning would be 67 our house would still be 78 or higher. We have been so comfortable using the Airscape the temperature in the house will only be about 3-5 degrees higher than outside.
Thanks for a fine product which I would recommend to anyone, especially here in the central valley of California.
Nancy A., Central Valley, CA

I’m very happy with my fan unit. I tried 2 other brands I bought at Lowes & Home Depot first. Very loud. Put yours in & it was much quieter. Pulls plenty of air. Our house is a 2 story 2700 sq ft new construction home. The unit is used all day until [seasonal] temps reach high 80s. At that time it is used in the evening only. Saves a lot on A/C bills.
Gary K., Firestone, CO

I am very impressed with the performance of my Airscape whole house fan; my A/C usage last summer was reduced to a bare minimum during some particularly hot afternoons. The unit runs very quietly and although “installed in the walk-in closet of our master bedroom it manages to cool the whole house with strategically opened windows. I am also able to run the fan on low through the night without it disturbing my sleep.
Bryan F., San Diego, CA

I have a contemporary home with 30’ ceilings and all the heat goes to the upstairs bedrooms. [The AirScape] is quiet and has definitely saved me money. Plus, I like fresh air whenever possible.
Lois Y., Westampton, NJ

We used the unit extensively last summer and have been very pleased with its performance. It creates a comfortable breeze that can be felt in a number of places in our home and exchanges the warm inside air with cooler outside air in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes. Prior to the AirScape the house retained the heat of the day well into the night and early morning. We sleep much more comfortably now and I’m looking forward to this coming summer so we can use it once again. So far the Airscape has been performing wonderfully and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the same type of cooling requirements that we do.
Steven & Susan M., Pollock Pines, CA

I have to say I am very very happy with my whole house fan! Everything so far has met my expectations and a few family members actually want to get rid of their old jet engines that they have in their house now and get this one. One of the best parts is how fast I can cool off my master bedroom which is upstairs. I open a window on each side and in 15 minutes voila.
Travis K., Anaheim, CA

Couldn’t have been happier with the transaction and the assistance you provided in helping me decide which unit to get. Your knowledge was invaluable to me as a consumer and as it turns out you were telling the truth not just giving me lines to “sell” another unit. As a customer, I couldn’t have been treated any better. The Airscape unit lives up to all expectations.
Joe Y., Perry Hall, MD

We live in South Florida and have virtually eliminated the use of the A/C for the months of November, December, January and February. We anticipate using it extensively in March and parts of April and May.We enjoy the fresh air in the livings rooms especially in the mornings and evenings. It provides a great sleeping environment, drawing cool air in through the bedroom.
David L., Miami, FL

The performance has been exceptional. We are able to pull air into whatever room we desire and get a nice flow. I have shown it to many other homeowners in our area as this is rather unusual for this part of the country (Virginia), everyone has commented on the low noise and unobtrusive installation (not noticed until pointed out).
Ed S., Winchester, VA

VERY QUIET! I had it mounted vertically up in a Skylight Bay over my bathroom. You almost have to stand under the bay to hear the fan running!
Bob J., Fort Worth, TX

The construction was second to none and the operation of the unit reflects that quality. It cools the house effectively as well as creates a gentle breeze in our bedroom, man that’s a relief! It’s not often you really get what you pay for, but this is it.
Larry S., Mackinaw, IL

I did quite a bit of web searching and studying and agonizing before purchasing but made the right decision. The AirScape met its advertised capabilities and exceeded our expectations. We are completely satisfied with the product.
Clyde R., Catskills, NY

are shocked when they come into the house at 2 in the afternoon & it is 68 inside 85 out & I tell them the A/C is not on.
Paul H., Spokane, WA

The AirScape does a good job for my house, eliminating much use of the air conditioning unit. [It] is a fine product and [I] have already recommended it to a friend who has been shopping for a whole house fan.
Steve M., Davis, CA

By cooling the home the evening before, even on 100 degree days, the home never got above 80! That’s no BS! [The AirScape is] Half the size of systems that do have the job!
Frank T., Zurich, IL

Whole house fans – what we call attic fans here – are very popular in older homes, but they are usually the great big, noisy ones. Folks have a hard time believing that such a small, quiet unit can do so much.
Jo-Ann M., New Orleans, LA

The units pay for themselves in about a year or two based on how much less you run the AC. We used to run the AC all night, it would shut off early am, and then start again at about 10am. Now the AC starts anywhere from 1pm to 3pm on hottest days and then we shut it off when the temp outside goes below 68 after sunset. This allows us to use cooler outside air to get rid of the heat in the house. The units precool both the attic and the house during the night so that the house starts off at 62 to 64 rather than 70 where the AC would normally have taken the house by AM. This gives us the hours til 1 or 3 pm to accumulate heat before we need the AC again. I’m glad we put them in.
Ron T., El Dorado Hills, CA

I’m really, really pleased with the product. [We] always get a positive reaction when we demonstrate it, which we’ve done many times. Both general contractor and the city building inspector said they want one.
John C., Huntington Beach, CA

I called more than once and never got a high-pressure, sales attitude. You were patient and always helpful. The AirScape cools my 2400 sq. ft. 2-STORY townhouse rather quickly at night and the power consumption is light bulb power, not AC compressor power.
Stan G., Whitehouse Station, NJ

your customer service was way beyond what I would have anticipated. I asked a question about thermal leakage through the aluminum frame and I got an amazing response with R Values, dollar cost, etc. Totally blew me away.
Eliot M., Waunakee, WI

Before your fan was purchased, my husband had installed another br
