An exceptionally robust industrial-grade fan, isolated through a noise-deadening ducted design puts the 2.5 in a class all by itself. Plus, the 2.5 is straight-forward to install, and comes with a hi-flow grill that minimizes noise and looks as unobtrusive as it sounds.

While all AirScape fans deliver high power and low noise, the 2.5 sets a new standard for quiet. The unique ducted design and powerful 22-inch fan work together to raise the bar in terms of performance/noise ratio. Two-speed operation

On high speed, you get over 2500 CFM to cool your house down fast without sounding like a jet engine. Set to low, the 2.5 operates at a quiet 49.5 dBA @ 1m -- so all you'll hear is air whooshing quietly through the cube core grill. The unit is controlled via a wall-mounted switch (included) or optional wireless remote.

Excellent energy efficiency

At full power, the AirScape 2.5 uses just 288 watts of power, a small fraction of the energy used by an A/C compressor. While the ducted design requires more energy than our drop-in models, the 2.5 is still very efficient. If you are comparison shopping, you'll see that the 2.5 uses significantly less power than competitive whole house fans in terms of CFM/Watt. Automatic insulating damper

A common problem with traditional whole house fans is air leakage between the attic and living spaces. Properly installed, the AirScape 2.5 takes care of this problem with an automatic, industrial-grade damper. When the fan is off, your attic is sealed tight. So attic air NEVER leaks into your living space, and warm air never condenses in your attic.

Premium Cube Core grill

The AirScape 2.5 comes with a premium high-flow grill that minimizes air noise through the grill. These high-performance grills look great too, so your system looks as unobtrusive as it sounds.

Easy installation

The AirScape 2.5 mounts between standard joists, either 16-inch or 24-inch centers using pre-drilled tabs. It is specifically designed to fit through its own mounting hole, so no other attic access is required. Maintenance-free operation

The AirScape 2.5 employs an industrial fan unit which is sealed and never requires lubrication. The only other moving parts are the twin heavy-duty door actuators which are tested to 45,000 cycles. All mechanical and electrical parts are easily accessible for servicing or replacement.
